Take Time to Create
Posted On April 14, 2020
Being stuck at home has been going great for me. As I said in my last post, I have been using this time to work on my writing. I know I won’t get my book finished before I have to go back to work, but I have made huge progress, and that’s priceless to me.
During this time at home, I think it’s important for people to create something. I truly believe that we were all born with some kind of talent, whether it’s art; baking/cooking; writing; building; whittling; legos; crochet/knitting; photography; playing instruments… there are endless possibilities.
Obviously, some of these cost money for the materials, so it might not be feasible, but I still think it’s therapeutic to the soul to use your creative mind. Even if what you make is terrible, you’re still exercising those creative muscles and that itself is rewarding.
Please stay positive, everyone! We’ll get through this. My family and I have been taking time every day at 8:00pm to pray for the doctors and nurses, and all those that are essential and are exposed to COVID-19. It’s a scary time, for sure, but this too will pass.
Remember: Don’t forget to wash your hands!
